We can't offer a roundup of Microsofts greatest hits from 2023 without mentioning Microsoft 365 Copilot. While we've extensively explored Copilot in prior posts, it bears mentioning as a significant 2023 introduction by Microsoft.
For those who may not have caught our previous discussions, Microsoft 365 Copilot is an advanced AI network that transcends the capabilities of its precursor, Bing's chat enterprise. Copilot is embedded with enterprise-level security and privacy, ensuring data processing within Microsoft 365. It seamlessly integrates into Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and more, navigating through your data ecosystem to assist with workplace challenges.
Though its initial roll-out in late 2023 was aimed at enterprise users with a significant investment requirement—access necessitated a query to Microsoft, the purchase of at least 300 licenses at $30 each, alongside a Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 subscription—it's poised for a broader launch in early 2024, potentially Q1. Keep an eye out for more detailed updates and a likely release schedule.
As for pricing, it's likely to stay at $30 per user. However, we're not sure if there will be a minimum commitment or if the access will be tiered to manage backend demands and user adoption rates effectively. We'll just have to wait and see!
