Automated Backup: The service offers automated and regular backups of your SaaS application data, ensuring that no critical information is left unprotected. Backups are automatically performed three times a day.

Quick Data Recovery: In the event of data loss, accidental deletion, or cyberattacks, Datto SaaS Backup allows for rapid data recovery to minimize downtime and productivity loss.

Retention Policies: Customize data retention policies to meet compliance requirements and business needs, ensuring that historical data is preserved. By default, Ntiva sets all data to be retained indefinitely.

Security and Compliance: Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and the service complies with industry-specific regulations and standards.

Ransomware Protection: Protect your SaaS data from ransomware attacks with advanced threat detection and recovery capabilities.

Service Components:

Here is a list of what can be backed up with Ntiva’s SaaS Backup with Datto Protection for Office 365:

Mail

  • Shared mailboxes (but not public folders).
  • Group emails (if configured correctly).
  • Notes in Exchange (restored as messages).
  • Office 365 mail (excluding archived mail).

 

Contacts

  • Office 365 contacts.

Calendar

  • Office 365 calendars.

OneDrive

  • All documents in an individual's OneDrive.
  • OneDrive backups support versioning, with a snapshot for each of the three daily backups.

SharePoint

  • SharePoint Site documents.
  • SharePoint Site templates.
  • SharePoint Site Assets.
  • SharePoint Site Pages.
  • SharePoint Site Collections (Microsoft sites created by admins that do not fall into the SharePoint Root Site collections)

Teams

  • Public channels, including content, calendar meetings, and conversation messages.

Deliverables

  • Google G-Suite and/or Microsoft 365 Tenant linked to Datto SaaS backup portal
  • Backups configured to clients policies or Ntiva’s default policy
    • Ntiva Standard Policy
      • Intra-Daily backup retained for 30 days
      • Daily backups retained for 90 days
      • Weekly backups retained for a year
      • Monthly backups for service commitment retention
        • Default is forever

Task 1 – Project Management and Deployment

  • Onboarding team will deploy Ntiva’s SaaS Backup with Datto via onboarding standards procedures.
  • Creation of Client Tenant in backup portal
  • Preparing SaaS Tenant (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) for Ntiva’s SaaS backup with Datto
  • Enablement of SaaS Backup
  • Configuration of Data Retention if different than Ntiva’s Standard
  • Alerting configured to standards

Task 2 – Normal Operations

This phase includes routine day-to-day operations of Ntiva’s SaaS Backup with Datto Service:

  • Backup Alerts
    • Failed backups
  • Data restoration requests
    • File recovery
    • Folder recovery
    • Email Recovery

Service Assumptions

  • Labor associated with normal operations will be billed to client’s service agreement.
  • Ntiva SaaS Backup with Datto SIRIS provides data protection and recovery capabilities but does not guarantee the prevention of all data disasters.
  • Ntiva has administrative access to Clients SaaS solutions (Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace to enable backups
  • Clients can have Ntiva SaaS backup with Datto enabled on both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
    • Client will be billed for both services

 

Service Limitation

Here is a list of limitations for Backupify/Datto Saas Protection for Office 365. These limitations highlight specific scenarios and data types that may not be fully backed up or supported by Backupify/Datto Saas Protection for Office 365.

 

Email

  • It can back up shared mailboxes but not public folders.
  • It may not back up contacts and calendars if the mail service is disabled or not provisioned.
  • Group emails can be backed up if configured correctly.
  • Profile pictures of Office 365 contacts are not backed up.
  • Attachments referencing OneDrive objects cannot be backed up for contacts and calendars.
  • Backupify/Datto Saas Protection for Office 365 does not back up Office 365 archived mail at this time.

 

Contacts

  • It does not back up profile pictures of Office 365 contacts.
  • It does not back up shared and group contacts due to API limitations.
  • It cannot access attachments that are references to OneDrive objects through the API and cannot back them up.

 

Calendar

  • It does not back up shared and group calendars due to API limitations.
  • It cannot access attachments that are references to OneDrive objects through the API and cannot back them up.

 

OneDrive

  • Shared and group documents are not backed up due to API limitations.
  • Image Libraries in OneDrive are not captured in backups.

 

Teams

  • Private channels are backed up under SharePoint sites.
  • One to One Chat Messages

 

SharePoint

  • Backup failures can occur if the root SharePoint site appears in SharePoint's Redirect URLs section.
  • SharePoint Forms
