THE CHALLENGE
As a proud community bank with six regional offices and plans for continued growth in the future, Home State Bank found itself struggling to keep up with the IT needs of a growing financial services company.
Four internal IT employees were covering all of the bases, from daily troubleshooting to network engineering projects. There was little time for any future planning, and the entire IT infrastructure was functioning on a break-fix basis. It was clear that this bottleneck couldn’t continue.
THE SOLUTION
Mike Dipirro, the CTO of Home State Bank, reached out to Ntiva to explore how we could help bring the organization up to current technology standards. The internal team already had it's hands full on many other projects, including upgrading the business to a fiber network.
For starters, Ntiva was able to upgrade every user to a secure Microsoft Office 365 offering, enable multiple security protocols which are crucial in a banking environment, and redesigning the entire internal network.
“We invested in the technology to bring the performance up. We were missing a partner who could help us with our monitoring, and provide us with technical depth.”
THE IMPACT
Co-managed IT has allowed Home State Bank to operate more efficiently, by outsourcing routine IT services and retaining internal IT talent to manage key projects such as complex Line of Business applications.
Certainly moving to cloud services was an auspicious move. If would have been extremely difficult for Home State Bank to survive the remote working conditions forced upon us in 2020, if their old infrastructure was still in place.
The company continues to grow, adding internal IT employees to keep up with special projects and yet relying on Ntiva for core infrastructure services and IT expertise to keep the organization up-to-date and on track for success.
